Orville and Grish

Introduction:

Once upon a time a Hand got a game called Creatures. He took two eggs out of the hatchery, a boy and a girl, and dropped the boy's egg in the incubator. He taught the boy and named him Beta.

What the hand didn't know was that while he was teaching Beta, the little girl hatched. The baby girl wandered through the garden, and up the lift in the temple, until she was too tired to go on. The tired, hungry, lost, little norn fell into a deep sleep. A grendel found the little sleeping norn and decided to call her Grish, which means in grendelish "One more beautiful than the blooming Feverfew".
Meanwhile, the hand wondered what had happened to the second egg and decided to hatch another girl which he named Cathy.

When Grish woke up she found herself in a cave with a grendel who called himself Orville and her Grish. He was very kind and offered her some cheese, which Grish ravenously devoured. One day, the two friends ran out of food and so while Grish slept Orville pushed the lift call button. He then took the lift up and boarded the boat. The tiny grendel walked until he came to a garden filled with all kinds of great stuff. Two spoiled norns were playing with all the toys so Orville just grabbed a lemon and turned around to head for home.
Just then, the hand saw Orville "stealing" a lemon and smacked him good until Orville ran further than the hand could scroll.
"Selfish grendel," said the hand, "only thinking of himself".

Orville beamed broadly as he dropped the lemon in front of Grish. She insisted he have it, but he said he had eaten something on the way. He didn't mention that it had only been a bite of Morning Glory. Orville loved to see his beloved so happy so he brought her many little things, norn dolls and bedtime bears and anything else she could ever want. Grish and Orville were happy they had toys to entertain them, food to eat, and most importantly, each other. The two had such fun together! Orville even brought a Super Speech Toy home one day and they learned their words together. When Grish was sick, Orville fed her cheese and watched over her.
About this time the hand hatched another norn and named him Alpha. Alpha grew into a handsome young norn.

Then one fateful day the hand found Orville and Grish. The hand coaxed Grish away from her true love, using a mixture of tickling and slapping. After he brought her away from the island, he smacked the grendel for a great time, since he must have been beating her, after all he was a grendel. Then the hand took all of the stuff away from Orville even all of the food. Orville sat and cried. "Orville lonely" he said. "Orville come norn". Orville set off to find his love.
The hand sent him away as soon as he got to the garden.

Grish, renamed Rebecca, kept repeating "Rebecca lonely". Alpha didn't seem to mind, he just kept kissing Rebecca. Then he kisspopped her. "Grish angry!" she screamed in protest, "Grish run norn!" She slapped him as hard as she could and ran. The hand saw her and said to himself "Why is she calling herself Grish?" He re-registered her birth but she kept repeating "Grish come Orville" and walking towards the island. "Fine," the hand decided, "If she wants to get beat, let her. I'll check on her once in a while to make sure the grendel doesn't kill her".

On the island, with the one she loved, she laid her egg. The egg hatched and a baby boy was born. Orville treated the boy as if he was his son. The hand came to check on Grish, and saw the boy. He watched for a moment and saw that Orville was not beating them at all. The hand felt so bad he gave all the stuff back, and the family lived happily on the island.
