The machine powered down and the doors opened and Polinesia emerged.

She looked at herself

" I'm a bird!" she squalked, very surpriesed

"so thats what you were" said the human

"That the was that machine you put me in"

"We call that the 'devolver'"

Polinesia thought of the name of the machine that would turn her back 'revolver', and it didn't sound good.

"So, our ansestors were birds" she said

"Correct, who for one reason or another, evolved to your current species" the human replied

"So why did you turn me into a bird?"

"Using this knolage, we can greatly improve other tests"

Polinesia didn't like the sound of that so she decided to try something sneaky.

"Whats that on your face?"

"Where?" The human replyed

"It's small, come closer"

Polinesia crossed her feathers, she hoped the human was dim enough to fall for this, her wish was granted

The human came closer, staring crosseyed trying to look at his own face

In a burst of addrenline, she lunged at the human and pecked both his eyes out and then bolted!

"Oh my eyes, my eyes, I can't see, security!" Screamed the human in pain as he put his hands over his eyes.

Polinesia thought about flying out but she had been a bird for only a few minutes and didn't known how to fly. She rushed out of the labs and into the street. A car swerved trying to avoid hitting her. It missed barely and spun out. What followed was a 100 car pile up. The air was filled with the sound of 100 horns blaring and 150 voices swearing at eachother. Polinesia used this chaos to duck into a nearby alley. She dove into a trash can. "ow" she and another voice said. "Who are you" they said in unision again. She jumped out and looked up. It was Jade. "JADE!" she yelled, her voice laced with hope."a talking bird, man, I need to get some more sleep" Jade moaned in responces. "It's me, Polinesia!" she yelled. "Polinesia is a norn, pretty bird" Jade said, skepticly. "Polinesia WAS a norn, the humans stuck me in some damned machine and turned me into a bird"she said. "POLINESIA, he yelled, running down to hug her, it is you. Come on, if you can escape, so can erin."

---back in the labs

Erin woke up. "whats all the ruckus?" she asked, nobody ansoeored her. Then the human who Polinesia pecked ran up, with a very disgruntled look on his face. Both his eyes were black. He opened the cage "here little norn, your free!" said the human. Erin's face lit up like an xmas tree. "Yippie" she said as she started to dash out. Instead of meeting freedom, she met the human's fist. As she was dashing out the human punched her. She flew and hit the back of the cage. the human ran. Barely councious she lie there in pain. She was internaly bleeding and she felt that a couple of her bones were broken. As her life bleed away, so did her hope.

Another human came up to her. "Good god you poor thing" the human yelled as he scooped Erin up "I better get you to the tanks"

'the tanks' erin thought 'tanks of what, acid, boiling oil, or just plain glycotoxin'. The human took her into a room and straped a mask on her. She could still breath through it. They then lowered her into some liquid.

----Pinstar's albia

Andy woke up he looked at cappie. Her eyes were red and there were about 100 coffie cups scattered on the floor. "morning, I finished reading it" she said, and then promptly fell asleap on it.

"Poor Cappie, up all night to let us take off. Where is Polinesia, that lazy piece of @#$^%. He went up the lift. He looked all over albia and couldn't find her. "Pinstar, Polinesia's missing" Pinstar checked the creatures bar, she wasn't there. "The humans must have taken her" pinstar said. "Great well, can we save Erin first?"

"Shut up andy, we will leave when Cappie is rested, she is the one who knows how to fly this thing. hmmm, I seem to be missing something." "Polinesia's egg" mumbled Cappie in her sleep. "Oh yea, thanks Cappie"

Pinstar promptly got the egg and brought it on board.
