Ma G's Saga, part 13c or Did I Miss Anyone?

The lady Dorothy led them futher down the passageway she had taken them into. Grace, Sir Das, and Sir Ghoul had no choice but to follow her now. They could only hope that she was leading them to saftey, and they hoped it would be a better refuge then the temple had been.

Dark Novice Alyssa had watched as the High Priestess knocked Liz down the steps. She knew something had gone very very wrong. She quickly grabbed the hand of the Light Novice Snow Calico, and tugged at it.

Snow Calico turned and stared into the eyes of her fellow novice Alyssa. She could see the urgency behind that look and she quickly nodded her head to consent to following her.

Alyssa saw her nod, and still holding Snow's hand turned and pulled her through the opening in the wall she had just triggered. The opening closed behind them and they started down the passage before then.

Daljit turn his head away from the new telescope he had invented after not being satasfied with the lack of range the original ones had. He was not happy, no not at all.

What was he going to do? It would have been better for all if the telescope had never been created! He curse himself, just couldn't believe that he of all Shee had to have done it! Not only that, he had told others of it, and they knew he was using it tonight.

Used it he had, and worked? Yes, it had worked, and worked only to well! He had been able to see out of their solar system. He had peered into another one, and what he saw there made him curse his eyes!

At first glance he thought he had seen disc worlds, like the one the Shee inhabited. Then he made a few adjustments to his new scope and saw! They weren't disks at all! They were oval, round, they were giant balls of earth!

He thought at first that it was some sort of freak thing, these round worlds. After all, every Shee child even knew that planets were basically flat and disk shape! Then he had moved his scope to another system, then another, and another! He had lost count at how many solar systems he had gazed upon this evening. It didn't even seem important any way. What was important was that in all the ones in which there were planets, they were huge oval balls!

He knew what this meant of course! It would be the end of the Shee! There was no way that the group collective could handle the fact that they had been so horribly wrong for so long. The Shee ego was just a little to fragile for such a thing. Sure, one Shee at a time could accept a mistake, but there was no way all the Shee at the same time could handle it!

Dan Silverston and his clone Kenniston would know how to handle this! Daljit figured he'ld tell him, them. first and see what they though should be done. So he carefully shut down the scope and headed for the gene lab deep below the surface........
